At Play in the Fields of the Lord is a 1991 adventure drama film directed by Héctor Babenco, adapted from the 1965 novel of the same name by American author Peter Matthiessen. The screenplay was written by Babenco and Jean-Claude Carrière, and stars Tom Berenger, John Lithgow, Daryl Hannah, Aidan Quinn, Tom Waits and Kathy Bates.
Director and producer James Cameron stated that At Play in the Fields of the Lord was used as a reference for the 2009 blockbuster film Avatar.
Martin and Hazel Quarrier are small-town fundamentalist missionaries sent to the jungles of South America to convert the Indians. Their remote mission was previously run by the Catholics, before the natives murdered them all. They are sent by the pompous Leslie Huben, who runs the missionary effort in the area but who seems more concerned about competing with his Catholic 'rivals' than in the Indians themselves. Hazel is terrified of the Indians while Martin is fascinated. Soon American pilot Lewis Moon joins the Indian tribe but is attracted by Leslie's young wife, Andy. Can the interaction of these characters and cultures, and the advancing bulldozers of civilization, avoid disaster?

He becomes deeply infatuated with her, but can't physically consummate any kind of relationship with her. She brightens his day, but her sexuality is just beginning to bud. When she begins to prefer a male closer to her age than the writer, the finality of the plot is set.

It is based on the second novel of a semi-autobiographical trilogy by Reidar Jönsson. It tells the story of Ingemar, a young boy sent to live with relatives.
Ingemar lives with his brother and his terminally ill mother. He may have a rough time, but not as bad as Laika - the russian dog sent into space... He gets sent away to stay with relations for the summer. While there, he meets various strange characters, giving him experiences that will affect him for the rest of his life.

Na jaren in Frankrijk te hebben gewoond, keert grootvader Jakob terug naar zijn geboortehuis. Hij heeft het huis gekocht en zijn kleinzoon Jakob komt tijdens de herfstvakantie meehelpen om het op te knappen. Als opa bij het opknappen van het huis uitglijdt en zich bezeert, komt er een oudere dame uit de buurt op hem passen. De dame blijkt het buurmeisje uit opa's jeugd te zijn. Zij vertelt Jakob over opa's rode zwaan, een houten speelgoedbeest dat hij altijd bij zich had en waarover hij nu in zijn koortsdromen van alles roept. Omdat opa de rode zwaan ooit is kwijtgeraakt, besluit Jakob om hem te zoeken in de hoop dat dit opa beter zal maken. Net aan zijn zoektocht begonnen, komt Jakob in een "sprookjeswereld" terecht, waar hij het meisje Neeltje ontmoet. Samen beleven zij spannende avonturen met "het Houtvolk" en "de Karpermannen". When he begins with his quest Jakob comes in a fantasy world, here he meets Neeltje. Together they have big adventures with the 'woodfolk' and the 'fishmen' Jakob en Neeltje decide to do everything for the wooden swan, and the stories of Jakobs grandfather could help.

SE. Hundra svenska år är en dokumentär-TV-serie, producerad av Olle Häger och redigerad av Kjell Tunegård med Hans Villius som berättare (han syns aldrig i bild - man hör bara hans röst). Serien består av åtta avsnitt, som vart och ett berättar Sveriges historia under 1900-talet ur ett särskilt perspektiv. I varje avsnitt visas för ämnet aktuella filmklipp, varvade med intervjuer av olika personer, som var med vid den tid som behandlas och som berättar minnen från den. På filmklippen från de tidigaste delarna av seklet, som från början inte innehåller något ljud, har man lagt på ljud, som skulle kunna passa in (exempelvis sorlande röster och ljudet av marscherande fötter vid bilder av ett första majtåg).

I detta avsnitt, som heter De gamla och kloka må le, fallera, handlar om barn. Passande avsnitt eftersom 1900-talet kallas barnens århundrade. Det var första gången barn fick vara barn och tonåringar kommer upp som fenomen. Kanske har vi idag gått för långt men det vet jag inte. Det har inte alltid varit lätt att vara barn. Farfar jobbade och pappa fick stryk i skolan. Världen har ändrat sig mycket sedan farfar var barn.

FR. Deux enfoirés à Saint-Tropez est un film français de Max Pécas sorti en 1986. C'est le deuxième film de la « trilogie tropézienne » du réalisateur, après Les Branchés à Saint-Tropez et avant On se calme et on boit frais à Saint-Tropez.
Le film débute par la sortie de prison de Paul, condamné à quatre mois de prison à la place de son ami Julius. Afin de changer les idées de Paul, Julius décide de l'emmener à Saint-Tropez. Les deux jeunes hommes "empruntent" au passage une voiture et font sur le trajet la connaissance d'une charmante auto-stoppeuse, Évelyne, dont Julius ne tarde pas à tomber amoureux. Pour Paul, l'amour resurgit sous la forme de son ancienne compagne Milka, aux bras d'un marchand d'art quelque peu désagréable dénommé Saedi. C'est alors qu'on propose à Paul et à Julius de subtiliser deux statuettes pré-colombiennes appartenant à Saedi, qui s'avère en fait être un escroc. Mais le larcin ne se déroulera pas forcément comme prévu par nos deux compères.

Single mum (father of child dead) from the country with 6th grade boy comes to Tokyo, leaves the boy to live with his uncle's family - wife, male, female teens, run a struggling greengrocer - and lives/ works in local inn. He gets bullied/ fights with local boys, goes to the baths, plays basketball, is befriended by his male cousin and becomes friendly with grade 4 girl who's the daughter of the innkeeper, who employs his mum and is the longterm mistress of a businessman from another town, who's the girl's father and who brings her half sister and brother to meet her but they're mean to her. Meanwhile the boy's mother gets friendly with one of the inn's clients and chucks her job for a trip or something more permanent with him. The young girl takes him shopping, and wants the boy to live with her and her mother, but mother and father refuse so the two kids go to a seaside where he sprains his ankle and they're late back even though the police get them and they're in trouble. The boy loses his beetle and tries to get another for the girl for a school project but when he does, she's moved house with her mother at the urging of her father. Clear? It's better in the film.

Brecha is a particularly vivid and realistic portrayal of the emotional rupture between a father recently released from jail and his 12 year old son, following a dark family tragedy that no one has strength enough to confront. However, not counting on the fathers incapacity at forgetting the past, and his sons increasingly peculiar behaviour. In order to cover for her brother, who broke the ban on leaving the apartment, Tosia, disguised as a boy, goes on holiday to the forester's lodge instead of him. The Drifting Classroom (漂流教室, Hyōryū Kyōshitsu) is a Japanese horror manga series written and illustrated by Kazuo Umezu. It was serialized in the manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Sunday from 1972 to 1974, and published as collected tankōbon volumes by Shogakukan. The series follows a school that is mysteriously transported through time to a post-apocalyptic future.
In 1987, The Drifting Classroom was adapted into a live-action film directed by Nobuhiko Obayashi. The Long Love Letter, a Japanese television drama loosely based on The Drifting Classroom, was released in 2002.
The series was critically acclaimed, and won a Shogakukan Manga Award in 1974.
An international school in Kobe, Japan is catapulted into the future after a time-slip occurs.

Matsutaro Yasuda, a retired girl's High School Principal who has lost his wife to alcoholism and is forsaken by his Daughter, moves to an old apartment in a country town. Yasuda, at his new address, meets a little five years old girl who lives next door. Sachi, the little girl, clenches on an iron fence at the apartment. All alone, she is gazing into the distance. Angel's wings made of cardboard are on her back. She is barefoot and wears a summer dress in spite of it being winter. On her leg there are scratches and bruises. Yasuda speaks to Sachi but she does not smile or say a word. When night falls, violent voices can be heard from next door to the mother and her lover echoing in Yasuda's room almost every night. Yasuda blocked out his emotions. He didn't want to hear or see anything. However, little by little something moved his emotions we can call it passion. When he looked into the little girl's eyes, which are also lacking in emotion, something seemed to overlap his wounded heart. "Have you ever seen a blue sky? Where clouds appear like cotton candy and a white bird is flying high?". "Would you like to walk with me?" Yasuda and Sachi begin their long walk... During their walk, the two meet a young boy named Wataru at a small desolate train station. Wataru seems to be easygoing. However, he is also lonely and holds an empty feeling in his heart. The passing Wataru joins the two on their journey but the trip goes in an unexpected direction when one day Sachi begins to open her heart to Yasuda and Wataru. Fan Chan (Thai: แฟนฉัน, English: My Girl) is a 2003 Thai romantic film offering a nostalgic look back at the childhood friendship of a boy and girl growing up in a small town in Thailand in the 1980s. It was the debut film by six young screenwriter-directors, Vitcha Gojiew, Songyos Sugmakanan, Nithiwat Tharathorn, Witthaya Thongyooyong, Anusorn Trisirikasem and Komgrit Triwimol. With a soundtrack that featured Thai pop music of the era, Fan Chan was the top domestic film at the Thailand box office in 2003, earning 140 million baht.
Jeab hears that his childhood sweetheart Noi-Naa is to be married, so he makes the trip back home to his provincial village. As he does so, the memories come flooding back to his childhood in 1980s Thailand. He remembers always being late to school, so his father would have to give him a ride on the back of the motorcycle. After school, he would always play with Noi-Naa and her girlfriends while the neighborhood boys rode their bicycles and played football and Chinese fantasy characters.

Pretty Baby is a 1978 American historical drama film directed by Louis Malle, and starring Brooke Shields, Keith Carradine, and Susan Sarandon. The screenplay was written by Polly Platt. The plot focuses on a 12-year-old prostitute in the red-light district of New Orleans at the turn of the 20th century.
The title of the film is inspired by the Tony Jackson song, "Pretty Baby", which is used in the soundtrack. Although the film was mostly praised by critics, it caused significant controversy due to its depiction of child prostitution and the nude scenes of Brooke Shields, who was 12 years old.
In 1917, in the red light district Storyville, New Orleans, the prostitute Hattie lives with her twelve year-old daughter Violet in the fancy brothel of Madame Nell, where she works. Photographer Ernest J. Bellocq has an attraction to Hallie and Violet and he is an habitué of the whorehouse. One day, Madame Nell auctions Violet's virginity and the winner pays the fortune of US$ 400 to spend the night with the girl. Then Hattie marries a wealthy client and moves to Saint Louis, leaving Violet in the brothel alone. Violet decides to marry Bellocq and she moves to his house. Until the day that Hattie, who has overcome her past, comes to Bellocq's house with the intention to take Violet with her.

A tak se nejen Honzík ale i Karel s Evou podívají poprvé k moři! Cílem se má stát německý Prerov, a tak Josef, ač s těžkým srdcem, půjčuje Karlovi svého čtyřkolého miláčka, milované embéčko. Na cestě rodinka potkává rodinu Kohoutkových, kteří si Dvořákovy vyloženě oblíbí a „pronásledují" je potom na každém kroku. Karla s Evou to navzdory mírné krizi vztahu spojuje a vypadá to, že dovolená všem vyloženě prospívá, i když ani v Německu není o zajímavé situace nouze, třeba Karlův a Evin první pobyt na FKK nebo věčná snaha zbavit se přízně Kohoutkovic rodinky. Doma zatím Josef trne, zda se s jeho embéčkem v zahraničí nic nestalo, a kvůli tomu napětí se v noci stává náměsíčným. Nejprve si to nechce přiznat, poté zkouší všechny osvědčené tipy kolegů z práce, ale nakonec mu nezbyde, než navštívit psychologa... Po návratu z dovolené to vypadá na rodinnou idylku, ale v noci zvoní u bytu Dvořákových zvonek. Za dveřmi stojí zbitá a vyděšená Karlova sestřenice Renata...
